Outreach
Outreach Action Team (OAT)
At St. Mary’s, we believe that our faith is lived out in service to others. Our Outreach Action Team (OAT) is dedicated to supporting and uplifting our community by meeting practical needs, standing alongside those facing life’s challenges, and actively working toward justice and compassion for all. This team is committed to carrying out our mission by reaching beyond our walls and offering resources, time, and care to neighbors near and far.

Our Mission: Serving in Love and Compassion
The Outreach Action Team’s goal is simple yet profound: to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Our team embraces every opportunity to serve with love, respect, and compassion. Each outreach project reflects our core values of inclusion, kindness, and hope.
Programs and Initiatives
The Outreach Action Team leads a variety of initiatives to serve different needs:
- Faith Family Kitchen
This program provides nutritious meals to anyone who is hungry at the Faith Assembly of God at 154 Bearse’s Way in Hyannis. It is run under the auspices of the Cape Cod Council of Churches and offers both dine-in and to-go meals on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. St. Mary’s parishioners volunteer on the fourth Monday of every month from 4:30 to 7:30 PM to serve dinner and distribute to-go meals. - Miracle Kitchen
Once a month on Wednesday, St. Mary’s parishioners create healthy food and fabulous desserts to serve for lunch for 30-50 people at The Salvation Army on North Street, Hyannis. - Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace of Cape Cod Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that began as a dream at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in 2013 to break the cycle of incarceration in families. Children with incarcerated family members are significantly more likely to face incarceration themselves—a cycle we aim to disrupt through cost-free, weeklong residential camps at Camp Burgess and year-round activities that nurture lasting, supportive relationships. Since our founding, over 80 children have joined our “Amazing Kids community,” many returning each year. Our work is sustained by devoted mentors, volunteers, and donors. As we continue to grow—with new campers, mentors, and board members—we invite you to help us expand our reach and impact. Learn more at AmazingGraceCapeCod.org
Outreach Grants Committee
St. Mary’s Outreach Committee is pleased to provide grants to support mission partners locally, nationally, and internationally. Our grants provide essential funding to organizations working to address issues such as homelessness, healthcare, mental health support, and more.
Local partners include: A Baby Center, Amazing Grace of Cape Cod, Angel House, and Duffy Health Center, among others. Nationally, we support groups like the Animal Rescue League and Hands of Hope. Internationally, we partner with Episcopal Relief and Development.
