Dr. Mijin Choi

Music Minister
As St. Mary’s Music Minister, Dr. Mijin Choi brings with her a wealth of experience and artistry. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano and Coaching from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Music in Vocal Accompanying from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano from Kyung Hee University.
Her career has taken her around the world as a pianist, vocal coach, arranger, conductor, and educator. She has taught and coached at SUNY Binghamton, University of Connecticut, University of Massachusetts, and South Shore Conservatory, and has worked with summer festivals including Boston University Tanglewood Institute, La Musica Lirica in Italy, and the Franco-American Vocal Academy in France. Most recently, she has been serving as the Music Director at Union Church in Waban and collaborative pianist to the Cape Cod Chorale and Choral Art Society of the South Shore.
