The Rev. Michael J. Horvath

Fr. Michael’s ministry is grounded in the guiding principle of creating and nurturing faith communities shaped by the Gospel values of Jesus Christ. He is excited to engage in that work with the people of St. Mary’s and the larger community.
Ordained in 2017, Fr. Michael served his curacy at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue in New York City and St. David’s Episcopal Church in Austin, TX. Most recently, he was rector of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Bristol, RI, from 2019 to 2024. He is a graduate of The General Theological Seminary and Yale Divinity School.
Fr. Michael currently serves on Diocesan Council, the Chapter of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, the Asian American Pacific Islander Committee for the Diocese of Massachusetts, and the Nominations Committee for the Cape Cod & Islands Deanery.
He and his husband Charles are thrilled to call Barnstable their home.
