Welcome

Visiting a new church can be overwhelming but knowing what to expect can make things easier. At St. Mary’s, we are a community centered on Jesus. Everyone is welcome, no matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey. Worship with us and experience the love of God firsthand!

What to Expect at St. Mary’s

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a new church home, you are welcome here.

At St. Mary’s Church in Barnstable, we believe God’s love is for absolutely everyone—no exceptions. We’re a joyful and thoughtful Episcopal community on Cape Cod that gathers to worship, serve, ask big questions, and support one another in life’s ups and downs.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit:

A Warm Welcome
You’ll be greeted with genuine hospitality, not judgment. We’re a multi-generational congregation with open arms and open minds. Come as you are—some folks dress up, others dress casually. Everyone belongs.

Beautiful Worship
Our services follow the Episcopal tradition with reverence, joy, and an occasional laugh. Expect thoughtful preaching, rich liturgy, moments of stillness, and music that uplifts the soul. All who seek the love of Jesus Christ are invited to receive Communion. If you’d prefer a blessing or to remain seated, that’s perfectly fine, too.

A Place for Children
Children of all ages are always welcome in worship! We also offer a simple, once-a-month Children’s Church during the 10:00 AM service. We’re delighted to have the energy, sounds, and questions of young ones in our midst.

A Place to Belong
At St. Mary’s, we’re not perfect, but we are real. We try to follow Jesus by loving our neighbors, living with compassion, and walking humbly with God. Whether you’re searching for meaning, community, peace, or purpose—you have a place here.

Come and see. We’d love to meet you.
