Episcopal 101
Baptism, Confirmation or Reception into the Church Prep Sessions
Led by Fr. Michael | Sundays, May 3 & May 10 | 11:30 AM | St. James Room
We’re preparing for Bishop Julia Whitworth’s visit on May 17, and that means it’s time to gather those who are feeling called to take the next step in their faith through baptism, confirmation, or reception into the Episcopal Church. If that might be you, I’d love to hear from you.
We’ll have two preparation sessions on Sundays, May 3 and May 10, at 11:30 a.m. (right after the 10:00 service), held in St. James’s Room. These will be relaxed, conversational, and a chance not just to learn, but to reflect on where God is meeting you right now. Between now and then, you are invited to spend a little time with the accompanying Workbook is available by clicking the button below.
The workbook is not a test – truly. The goal isn’t to get everything “right,” but to begin noticing, wondering, and getting familiar with the shape of our common prayer. We’ll go over everything together in class. If you have questions, are curious, or just want to talk it through before deciding, please reach out (Michael.horvath@stmarysbarnstable.org).
Reminder! Sunday, May 17 – St. Mary’s welcomes The Right Reverend Julia E. Whitworth, Bishop, Diocese of Massachusetts | 10 AM Worship Service & 11:15 AM Festive Fellowship
